Week 10

Week 10 marks the week of the baby growing from an "embryo" into a fetus. It's tadpoley tail is gone and it's spine is now fully fused into his or her body. It is about the size of a prune.
See prune:
(Yes, I have prunes in the house. They are yummy, especially the cherry essence ones. Leena loves them too.)

I'm getting better about eating. Not as good as I was prepregnancy but working my way there. Definitely not perfect. Especially since I sent my sister in law a text last night saying if she sent me a box of either Sees Candy or Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory chocolates I'd be her best friend.
I'm mainly just tired still but no real nausea, except when I gag on the smell of my prenatal vitamins. My iron is borderline and my midwife says generally when pregnant your levels will lower throughout if you aren't on supplements for it which would put me in the anemic category. I ordered some Floradix to take for that and hopefully that will help with the tiredness because this is ridiculous.
As for weight. Initially I gained about 6 pounds in the first few weeks and haven't gained any more in the last two weeks. I was ravenously hungry and I think about 2 or 3 of those pounds were all in the chest. I don't think I was eating enough calories in general though before I got pregnant so I am not sweating it. Now that I am not all carb crazy like I was at first it will be easier to get back on track. I am in that weird, bloated, fat feeling stage before I actually feel like I look pregnant rather than just like I ate too much. I'm at odds with clothing right now still trying to figure out how to dress this body without feeling self conscious.
Other than that, Leena and I have just been hanging out and playing a lot. Her favorite place to play recently is the dinky little play area at the mall, which I am fine taking her to because it's starting to get way too hot outside! We did a bit of retail, "I'm sad because Joey is offshore" therapy today and she picked out these sunglasses for herself.
We are also getting so excited about going to see our friends Laura and James again and to go to the Renegade Craft Fair in Austin, TX. Where I might add I will meet one of my penpals, Maryam! Gosh I am so so excited!

Anywho, enough rambling for now! Time for a shower!

Peace and Love

I know how you feel!
Sees is my one of my very favorite! I felt really similar to how you feel, I took floradix and it raised my iron from an 8.8 to above an 11, it gave me a lot more energy, I hope it does the same for you! Hope you had a good weekend with Laura!
