Rain

We got our rain, the rain we've been waiting for to play in. Any of the times it has rained recently it's been during the night. We lucked out yesterday and got a sudden downpour midday while Leena was awake. This was it! Apprehension turned to excitement as Leena just stared at me playing in the rain while I tried to coax her out into it. Once those precious toes felt the rain and the puddles she was hooked. Running around in only her puppy panties. Giggling. Loving. Living. The rain cleansed us. Cleansed us from the stress of the week, the difficulties it had put in front of us and the worry we had for friends, family and even ourselves. All our worries washed away as we splashed in puddles and stood in awe of the power of the earth. Our two souls melded once again. We felt that common bond like we once had while she was in the womb. That feeling of connectedness does not happen all the time but when it does it's incredible. Most of the time I take the rain for granted. I love it always but never fully appreciate it. We need the rain, in both the physical and emotional sense.
Our trip to CA starts tonight. Leena and I will travel to Houston and spend the night in a hotel and fly out in the morning. Joey will be a bachelor for a week, which yes, he goes offshore all the time but this time he will be home while I will be in CA with Leena. It feels completely weird that the shoe is on the other foot. While packing, I threw a shirt to the suitcase from across the room while Leena was sitting by it putting our panties in and out of the zipper pocket and when the shirt landed right next to her she looked up and told me to "BE NICE!"

Leena, yesterday, thought the sky farted, I think. After hearing the thunder she looked up suddenly and out the window and said "P-U!" and waved her hand in front of her face.

Ah, she's definitely a firecracker. Well I guess I should get back to packing up my carry on and my camera bag. Yes, I am THAT much of a procrastinator. I will try to do updates as I am in CA but it's panning out to be a very busy week. I have 5 photoshoots along with shooting Hannah's wedding and day after photos, along with the normal family time! I am going to be exhausted but it will be well worth it!

Finish this weekend off with a bang everyone!

Peace and Love.

I am not sure which exact song you are asking about. My little ipod player is at the top right. It has a menu that you can look through to find the name and artist. :)
