Last day with a visiting Auntie.

Today was a lazy day. We thought it would be best to just sit back and relax and enjoy the last day of Auntie Kimmy visiting. No running around, no heavy cooking. Just enjoying each other's company. We played in the yard in the sunshine and tried to teach Leena the ways of the "peddling".
She would rather just scoot along with her toes.
She wanted to go say hi to the little darling girl across the street.
She is very safety conscious. ;)
We played in the straggler leaves.
We taught Leena the value of hard labor. :P
Then Auntie Kimmy and mommy tried to set up an ant farm for Leena. Apparently we are lame because we managed to pick ants that can crawl out through the air holes and/or die inside pretty much instantly.
Leena's sniffing face cracks me up every time. It is one of her favorite things to do. I love that she's learning all the different smells of the world. I am sure she sees it differently when the smells are not so pleasant ones.
She is obsessed with spinning in circles at the moment.
And then she gets others to help her achieve the happy dizziness faster.
Then not a day is complete without a well deserved nose picking.

We ordered pizza to enjoy for Auntie Kimmy's last day. It was all Leena could talk about once the word was mentioned. For bedtime we read "Alexander and the terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day" with liveliness and enthusiasm of course. It indeed was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day for Alexander.

Maybe we'll move to Australia.

With each passing day with the orange walls in the living room a deeper and deeper love connection grows between us. Leena however had a moment with it where she just stared and stared and then started rubbing it. Not quite sure what the thought process was there but hopefully it was just her taking in the orange cheeriness. One can only hope. The orange is staying.

Today I got a wonderful pink Holgawood camera from my mother in law for my birthday. I can't wait to try it out. I do however need to wait for a replacement since the film advance spindle is missing from my camera. :( Leena also received a box of goodies. One that is plain embarrassment material for when she is a teenager and the other was a set of playdoh and playdoh toys from a lovely girl named Jenny. (Thank you Jenny!) We can't wait to play with the playdoh tomorrow and to take photos to share with the other surprise gift. Till then, may you wait in anticipation. hehe

Peace and love.
