After the wall.

After a good cry, some good conversation with the best midwife ever and being loved on by my wonderful husband and daughter, I feel good today.
This baby is coming.
My body is doing what it needs to do.
I will end this pregnancy with grace.

Tonight, there will be a dance party.
Can't hurt right?!

And here's photos to share of my 41 week belly.
Dress: Red Velvet, gifted to me by the lovely Laura Mazurek.
Necklace and Ring: Roots and Feathers
Belt: Shelby Black Vintage

Peace and Love!

41 weeks

Today.
I've hit a wall.
Hard.

I'm getting a lesson in trust.
Trusting my body.
Trusting my baby.

I know my baby is healthy and is staying in as long as possible for a reason.
I'm just ready.

I honestly thought I was going to wake up in labor this morning or sometime in the night.
Yet.
Here I am.
Still pregnant and NOT in labor.

I know this baby will come in his or her own perfect timing.
I'm just sad today.

It doesn't help seeing everyone that was due at or right around the same time as me, holding their sweet little babies.
I am happy for them.
But very jealous.

Sorry you get to hear me whine.
I just needed to vent.

Peace and Love.

At work.

My body is gearing up towards the big finale with this pregnancy.
Every night I seem to spend some time on the birthing ball relaxing through contractions while Joey rubs my tension away.
It's so nice having him home.
We are getting a final hurrah of spending time together as a family of 3 before little Junebug makes his or her debut. This is important. Leena is loving it.
Yesterday we made a little trip to Starbucks and all enjoyed a drink, together.
We then made a gingerbread house village...which was rather "pretty".
And ended the night with movie night where we watched "Frosty the Snowman" and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer".
HERBIE DOESN'T WANT TO MAKE TOYS!
It was so nice.

Today I woke up to Joey making banana nut muffins.
We enjoyed them for breakfast, well more like breakfast for me and snack for him and Leena since they had been up for a couple hours already.
I haven't been feeling fantastic today so I rested a bit on the couch and Joey ran to the grocery store with little miss.
After they got back Joey made lunch for us and then picked up the rest of the little bits of stuff in the living room so we could put up our Christmas tree.
I wanted the Christmas tree up before I went into labor to use it as a focal/relaxation point and well, so it wasn't so hectic in the next month.
We decorated the tree together and it's so cute. There's a mass of ornaments towards the bottom of the tree. :D

The last few days with my husband home have been amazing. Even with Leena's inability to listen well lately, it's so nice to have "back up" and to not have to constantly take the reins.
Let's face it.
At this point, I am so over taking the reins and just need time to go within myself and focus on my body and my baby.
I've been having "back labor" with the contractions I've been having.
This baby is posterior (facing up, towards my belly button) which Leena was as well.
My breaking point to getting the epidural with having Leena was the back labor I was having with the pitocin contractions.
I know this is nature's way of helping me process through the birthing experience Leena and I had and I am actually enjoying them.
I can do this.
I WILL do this.
I am prepared.

When do you all think this baby is going to come?
And what sex and weight do you guess?

I'm so ready to meet this baby but am loving the not knowing of when labor will officially start.

And now for the photos from the last few days:
Our gingerbread village turned out to be a cross between a teletubby and Sparta. Notice the hole in the middle where they can kick the naughty people into.
Cheerio plotting the tree's demise.
There's a dog under there. I swear.See.

Hope you all had a great weekend!
Peace and Love.

Waiting

As I wait for my husband to get home, very impatiently, I am curious as to how much longer I'm going to be pregnant. It's so weird not having this set time to go in to be induced. I LOVE that.
I'm still saddened occasionally about the choices we made about Leena's birth but am closing that door.
Learning and growing.
Moving on.
And not repeating past mistakes.
This baby knows the perfect time to come and we're letting him or her come when ready.
Lord knows I'M ready. :D
The house isn't exactly how I wanted but we still might have some time and in reality, that is a lame thing to worry about.
My birth space is peaceful enough for me to relax in the only other spot I'd like decluttered and picked up is my room. There will be lots of time awake spent in my room, more than usual, so that will happen someway or another.
Leena is pushing as much as possible before this baby comes but with daddy coming home tonight I'm sure that won't be as bad since she'll have someone else to give her lots of attention.
She knows my physical limitations at this point and is using those to her advantage. I'm exhausted but other than that, at peace.
There's been some good contractions happening off and on and lots of prep work happening in my body.
My mental prep work is complete.

Now.
We wait.

Peace and Love.

Dear Junebug.

About a month till your estimated time of arrival into this world.
Seems so close but so far away when all I want to do is hold you in my arms.
Nurse you.
Kiss you.
Snuggle you.
And share you.
But not too much sharing.

Your older sister is excited to meet you little one.
I know she's going to be amazing in her role.
She's a protector.
She's a beautiful soul.
She's an independent soul.
She's a vivacious soul.
She will watch over you and take care of you.
If anyone ever hurts you, she will be there to help you pick up the pieces and maybe even tell that person a thing or two.
Your sister little Junebug, she's a person that will do great things.
You and her together will help to change the world for the better.
I just know it.

Little one.
Your father is exceptional.
He will always be there for a hug and a smile.
Your father is one of the most amazing men on this earth.
His soul really is spectacular.
We got very blessed with having him in our lives.
Your father is caring.
Your father is quirky.
Your father is a man you should definitely look up to.
He is brilliant.
He is pure in his intentions.

Oh little Junebug.
You.
You are vibrant.
You are so loved already.
You have a family so ready to meet you.
A family letting you come on your own time.
A family that you are healing through this pregnancy and birth.
You have the soul of my grandfather, little one.
A soul of love.
A soul of gratitude.
A soul of honesty.

We all love you.
I love you.
Keeping on kicking my little Junebug.
Love,
Mommy

Fall Fashion Week-Day 3

Today's photos got taken really quickly. It is far too hot today or I'm just super pregnant.
Or both.
I didn't see what the temperature was when I got dressed and I really should have.
I don't have as many options clothing wise this far into my pregnancy so getting dressed each day is always an adventure.

Here's my day 3.
Outfit details:
Shirt: Hand me down
Dress: Target
Yoga pants: Victoria's Secret
Boots: Thrifted
Necklace: Violet Bella

And this dress used to actually button up over my chest when I purchased it at the end of last year. Which I am sure will only get worse come breastfeeding time.
I miss not having boobs. :D
Exhibit A (literally).
Me in January taking pictures before we went to dinner at a friend's house.

Leena likes to gather when we are outside, heck, she likes to gather when we are inside.
Wildflowers, kumquats, basil, mint, ferns, random plant parts from a plant that resembles marijuana...

My daughter is adorable.

Pretty fluffy clouds.

The rest of the day will be spent making caprese salad.
Figuring out what to make for dinner.
Cleaning.
School work for the bebe.
Getting over feeling nauseous.
Resting a bit.
Snuggling.
Pretending it actually feels like autumn outside.
Warding off super friendly cat who keeps trying to plant himself on my (already very full) lap.
Bathing at some point.
Tickling Leena.
Keeping my fingers crossed that I'm not getting sick.
Checking out all the lovely entries for day 3 later tonight.
Some sort of exercise: yoga and belly dancing or cardio and toning.
And other things that I can't think of at the moment.

Thank you for all your lovely comments!
You all look fabulous!

I've also extended the giveaway through Friday.
Don't forget to enter here.
Peace and Love.

Fall Fashion Week-Day 2

Today has been spent lounging around.
Resting.
Healing still for Miss Snotty Pants. (Or as seen here, Miss Snotty No Pants.)
I'm getting more and more tired as the pregnancy progresses. It makes me sad when Leena says, "Come on momma!" to play with her and all I want to do is sleep. This needs to be remedied. I need to play around and run around with my girl.Leena exploring.
She must wear her princess shoes! Her big stick.Leena saying, "Come on momma. Let's get acorns!"She's been my photo shoot helper lately. It's been MUCH appreciated.

Here's day two for fall fashion week!
Outfit details:
Teddy Bear Sweater: Violet Bella
Belt: Thrifted
Organic belly band: Baby Steals
Skirt: Goodwill
Nail polish: Zoya
And look I'm a cliché, barefoot and pregnant!

I hoisted my feet up onto a chair today to paint my toenails...this will be done by someone else next time.
My fat lazy kitty.
He's OBSESSED with me since I've gotten pregnant. The kitties MUST be outside at night or else I get no sleep from him trying to snuggle with me all night, which would be cute, if it wasn't so annoying.

Happy 30 weeks to the Junebug and I!
Hope you all had a great weekend!

Peace and Love!
