Week 24

So I am now 24 weeks. Time is going too fast. I have so much to do in the next 16-18 weeks!
Baby Junebug is doing well. Kicking up a storm. We have our first childbirth class tomorrow and fingers crossed that they don't decide to send Joey offshore RIGHT before it. ;)
Then I have my prenatal appointment on Wednesday. Can't wait to hear his or her heartbeat again. It always is so beautiful to hear.
Leena this morning whispered to me, "Momma is the baby a boy or a girl?" I told her I didn't know and we'll just have to see. It's so cute. She was able to feel the baby kick her hand yesterday and she didn't quite know how to feel about that. She said, "Momma, why did the baby kick me?!" :D
Leena is getting so big. I can't believe it. Where'd my little baby go? Gosh.
She amazes me every day with the things she does and the things she says.
And another miscommunication she had yesterday:
Daddy:"Our house is creaky."
Leena:"Why is our house creepy?"

I started working on the baby's Moses basket blanket and got totally frustrated so now I have three of the five strips done. My machine kept getting caught up in the fabric since it's the softest fabric in the world and pretty thin. I gave my machine a good shake down once the crazy hormones kicked in and it worked better for a whole minute then decided to drive me nuts again. BUT I did make a new shirt for Leena. It's a snug fit over her head though from the straps so I will have to eventually fix that.

Here's my favorite week 24 pictures from my mini shoot last night:
(Click on the photos. That will make them big!)
Dress is from Suds in the Bucket.
We bartered and I got this amazing dress. SCORE!
You should really check out her shop. It's amazing and the girl that runs it is so terribly sweet.

Peace and Love!

Week 23

Yesterday I took photos of us mainly so we could get a drawing done by Gretel Girl.
I fell in love with the one she did of Laura of Violet Bella and knew that would be perfect for little Junebug's room. In Leena's room she has a chalk drawing of Joey and I from our honeymoon so a drawing was in order for the new bebe. It was fun to play around again with my family and my camera even if we all came in with about a million bug bites each.
Baby is doing well and kicking up a storm. Joey felt a kick a few days ago. That was super cute and exciting. But now, whenever I call Joey to feel when the baby is kicking he/she stops when he puts his hands on my belly then starts up again when he takes them off.
Our baby is a turd. :D
We're still working on the house around these parts and I see the light. I may start painting the baby's room today....after I get more paint rollers. I can't wait to start decorating it.
Anywho, here's all the photos from last night's shoot!

This is the one we are getting awesomefied by Gretel Girl.

Isn't he just adorable?!
I threw this bow tie together in about 10 minutes.
Joey took some photos of Leena and I together. :)

Now I'm off to go organize/clean!

Peace and Love!

Just hanging out

Around here when we haven't been spending our time with Ms. Donna and the brood or creating or making messes we've just been hanging out.

Enjoying the sun.
Soaking it up.
Breathing.
Cuddling.
Giggling.
Time outs.
Pretending.

Living.

Leena likes to dress herself.

The other day I got the pleasure of photographing my friend's 3 week old. I already have baby fever, coupled with trying for baby number two, taking photos of this cutie made it 1000% stronger. Gah.
He.
Smelled.
Wonderful.
I wish I could bottle newborn scent.

Which by the way, I find it funny when people...like I just did...let the world know we are "trying". That may be too much information but welcome to our lives. Wink wink. SURPRISE, we're in love.

ANYWAYS.

Leena picked flowers, like she does anytime she finds any in the yard, and gave me a daffodil today. It went perfectly with my outfit. She's a genius.
Dress: Skeleton Key Vintage
And um, Hello Technicolor Dream Dress!
It's my birthday next month...just thought I'd throw that out there. ;)

Joey surprised us by coming home Friday night after two days of not hearing from him. Not sure how long he's home for but we are getting as much of him as we can. He also started on our raised garden beds in the backyard. Can't wait to have our fully functioning organic garden.

On the 22nd, two days from now, it will be my blog's one year birthday! What better way to spread the celebration cheer than a giveaway? I will announce this tomorrow so stay tuned!

Peace and Love!
