Twinkle toes.

Leena started ballet yesterday. Day two and she is loving it! As I type this, she is playing in her ballet outfit and just said,"Momma, I want to ballet." When we walked in to the studio yesterday I didn't know what to expect. This is her first activity she's done by herself and where she needs to listen to a different adult. As soon as we walked in Leena started running around with the other 2 girls that were already there. No hesitation. She didn't show any signs of shyness, which honestly I didn't expect anyways. When class started the mommies watched for a few minutes then we went into the back room so the girls could do class without distractions. The hour went by slowly wondering how Leena was doing in class. Was she listening to the teacher? Was she following along?
When class was over the teacher, Miss April, said she did great! Today they seemed to get more into the basics of ballet. They practiced their balance by balancing "Pascal" (the class is "Tangled" themed) on their head. Then they galloped on Maximus, a hobby horse. Lots of fun stuff like that.
Leena is enjoying it so much and can't wait to go back again in the morning! It looks like we'll be signing her up for full ballet classes when the next session starts!
I'm so proud of my little girl. She is so sweet to the other girls as well. She pet a girl's hair back this morning and told her she was so beautiful. I got a huge smile on my face from the adorableness.
Peace and Love!
