Yesterday we went to the library. And yesterday the book "Thank you, Grandpa" by Lynn Plourde jumped out at me from the shelves. I couldn't overlook it. Yesterday was a year from Grandpa's passing. This book is exactly what I needed yesterday.
"'Thank you, Grandpa, for our walks. You kept me steady when I wasn't so steady. You let me run ahead when I was ready to run ahead. Thank you for sharing spider web tears and firefly flashes. But most of all thank you for teaching me the words I need to say.'
Then the girl blew on the dandelion.
'Grandpa, I love you and I'll miss you. But I will never forget you.'
'Thank you and good-bye.'"
I will do a photo dump blog either later today or tomorrow. It's been a busy few weeks.
Peace and Love.
