Life is never dull with playdoh!

Happy Friday everyone! So when I got home last night, I started some laundry then got to work on photos for this blog and come 2am I was too pooped to actually write the blog. Anyways, here's how our Thursday went!
Breakfast:

Homemade pancakes! Leena loves when I make pancakes. I used to try to make them at least every two weeks and then I save the leftovers and freeze them for the toaster on days I am in the "I'm still half asleep, I can't even think about making breakfast!" mood. Plus, then there are no preservatives in them and that makes me happy. :)

This recipe was given to me by my best friend Nicole. (I modified it a tad) I loooove it. :)

1 cup flour
2 tbsp sugar
2 tsp baking powder
1 cup buttermilk (I used the "buttermilk" that separated out when I was making butter on Thursday. It was more like nonfat milk at that point, but still yummy.)
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp butter
1 lg egg
I also sprinkled some ground flaxseed on each pancake before I gave them a flip.
-Combine the dry ingredients
-Whisk egg, butter and buttermilk
-Add dry ingredients to wet slowly
-Do NOT overmix. The batter is supposed to be lumpy.
-Then just cook them like you would a normal pancake.

Leena's many eating faces. :)

She also LOVES yogurt.

Next we headed to Donna's, who was wonderful and watched Leena while I went to my weekly dentist appointment. (I should just live there.) The dentist trip wasn't bad. I got a celebratory high five from him. He finally was able to seal up the canals so say bye bye abscess tooth! Woot! I made it! ;) See you in a week Doc! After I got back to Donna's, her and I made yummy chicken for dinner and played playdoh with the kids. :)
Look! He smiled at me!

Mr. Piryn enjoying dinner while watching the older kids playing with playdoh.

OH my goodness does this photo just make me happy. :)

I see you!

Leena sharing her playdoh with mommy.

The underpants in the background of this photo is what makes it!

Miss Eiria made a creature. I forget what she told me it actually was. shhhhh.

Leena making faces at Kyllian.

Meet Monkey. Donna and the clan saved her from the pound. She does NOT like my camera. See her giving me the death stare? She also did not like me sitting in her chair and would steal it back every time I got up. This would be one of those times. ;)

After Dinner we enjoyed just hanging out. Donna got us yummy lava cakes for dessert and we watched half of UP before I took Leena home to finally go to bed. We love hanging out with them. They are an amazing family.
I'll leave you with this video of Monkey the freak kitty.

Poor kitty, they think something happened to mommy so she didn't get to be properly weaned. :(

P.S. Yesterday was also Donna and Heath's anniversary. Sorry I crashed the party. ;) Wish them a Happy Anniversary!
